Hey Everyone,
I ran down to the Shade House this afternoon with the camera with the idea of getting some photos of some of my Carnivores in the setting sun. The photos didn't turn out too badly.

Very beautiful photo's Michael, sometimes you just have to wait for the right lighting to get really great shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen, and i couldn't agree more, I like to take the photos of the plants at night so i get a good photo of what the plant is like for my records, but i think that taking the photos at the right time of day just adds to the sense of beauty
DeleteNice carnivores. Sarracenia flava is such a nice species, I keep meaning to add more Sarrs to my collection so I can make some of my own crosses and do more from seed. The N. alata has some real nice color going on too.
ReplyDeleteI adore my S. flava, i love the "simplicity" in the colouration and shape, there's no floofy-ness it just does what it does.... i'm really annoyed though because some arse of a bug has come along and eaten the top of one of them >:(
DeleteI split mine last year when i got them so there was only 1 corm per pot so i got more plants, but the downside is that only 1 of them flowered this season.... hopefully they'll flower next year
and i got some new carnivores this week, i'll try post a photo of them tonight, one is Nepenthes Miranda, and the other is Drosera filliformis
